Desvalido is a handmade lingerie & sleepwear label run by myself, Alana Becker, in Newcastle, NSW, Australia.

I developed a passion for lingerie in high school, somewhere in between designing cocktail dresses & costumes. Lingerie is for everyone, & if it's under your clothes, nobody knows. It's a secret you can keep or share, because it's YOURS!

Desvalido was born in 2012. What started as a creative outlet became a lingerie label in December 2013 when I finished fashion school & launched my first collection called My Alter Ego.

Over the past 4 years it's gained plenty of traction, with new styles added frequently. Desvalido loosely translates to Underdog, so there's no need to play by fashions rules of a collection per season. I create a range of different styles, & it's far from your average lingerie store.

From luxury silk sets, to soft pyjamas in unique prints, daring harnesses you can wear with everyday outfits, robes to keep you covered the morning of a wedding, & our Signature French Knickers which are a staple for any lingerie collection. 

Everything is lovingly handmade by me in my home studio. A small part of my soul goes into each piece I sew, & I wouldn't have it any other way.
